Omsk drag racers became winners
At the racing Siberian Cup the hosts of the tournament became the fastest in the Sport group but in the Street group the leaders were guys from Novosibirsk. Once again the village Fedorovka became a place of drag racing competition. About two thousand people came to see how the best drivers of Siberia compete with each other. The organizers tried to entertain the audience not only with races during the breaks people could watch the performances of different dancing groups, circus tent (by the way the circus bus to everyone's astonishment took part in one of the races that day) and demonstration flights of general aviation from flying club Kalachevo. The race started with Street class cars those which you can see on the streets every day. To cover 402 meters (because that particular distance is very popular and is considered to be the classic one in drag racing) such cars need 11-12 seconds developing the speed of 200 kilometers per hour at the finish line. To the top four got one team from Novosibirsk and three teams from Omsk however there was no real battle because three Omsk teams first won nine heats in semi-final with a score 7:2 and after won the battle for gold medal. The second and third places were also taken by Omsk teams. After that the most interesting part of the competition had started - the races of Sport class cars. Those cars which appeared at the start line weren't the cars exactly most likely they were bolides with rated capacity from 800 up to 1500 horsepower. Such car can develop speed up to 250 kilometers per hour and can cover a quarter of a mile in less than 9 seconds. These cars are so fast that they are equipped with special braking parachutes. In the main battle met the hosts of the competition and united team from Novosibirsk, Altai and Kazakhstan. Both team had five members thus for common victory it was necessary to win three races out of four. The united team won first race with the score 3:2 but Omsk team won the last three sets with the score 4:1, 3:2 and 3:2.

Omsk increased its income by 500 million
The Department of Finance has made a report about increasing level of income. Today at the operational meeting in City Hall was considered an issue about increasing incomes to Omsk budget. Inna Parygina the head of The Department of Finance said that her department managed to raise extra finance of 500 million rubles. In particular the officials increase income from city property, expanding the taxation base from land tax and increasing incomes from small business. The City hall held the inventory of more than four thousand buildings also there were made some actions concerning six thousands of land properties. During the examination there have been found more than 700 derelict buildings.
