Omsk mayor is trying to prevent baby boom in new year
During December Father Frost has received over a thousand letters from children and not only from Omsk but also from other cities. So children are asking for different things some of them asking an iphone, personal computer or a tablet others have more modest wishes like a book or a costume for New Year. But one wish remains the same many children whishing for a brother or a sister. This year all organization departments of City Hall will fulfill most of children’s whishes but Omsk mayor called on every employee of organization departments to fulfill each wish except one which concerns Omsk demography. Interestingly, not only children write letters to Father Frost but also grown ups. For example Father Frost received a letter where a 45-year old girl Vera is asking for a good job next year.

The picture of Omsk Belovodie is found the best in 2014
The news agency TASS summed up the results of the year and in the list of Best pictures of 2014 which was made by TASS was the picture of Omsk citizen Dmitry Feoktistov. In January 2014 he made the picture story of ice city Belovodie which is organized every year by Interstate Corporation of Development.
