Aleksandr Shlemenko a boxer from Omsk also famous by the nickname Storm will have a fight with Melvin Manhoef a boxer from Holland also known as No Mercy. The fight will be on February 13 as a part of Bellator 133 tournament. For Melvin it’s going to be only the third fight which is promoted by Scott Coker. Melvin made his debut in September of 2014 and won over Doug Marshall but his second fight wasn’t successful Melvin lost to Joe Schilling. Aleksandr Shlemenko also has some defeats. First was in a fight with Tito Ortiz and than he came of second best in a fight with Brendon Halsey.

New season of winter swimming is opened
Last Sunday on December 7 many Omsk citizens went swimming in Irtysh. By doing this they opened a new season of winter swimming and as it’s known Russian people really like to do this winter swimming because as they say it helps to improve health state. One of the participants told that he used to have problems with his heart and just he started to do this all the heart problems have gone. And also he said that after swimming he would run a few miles in his underwear. To point out the weather on December 7 was about 86 °F.

Omsk hosted the biggest game competition in the world
Last weekend there was a competition Ludum Dare 48 which took place in IT-loft. Dozens of programmers competed with each other who would create the best game in short time. The competition lasted for two days. This year in the competition Ludum Dare took part not only professionals who already have their own business but also students and pupils from high school. And plus this year competition was the biggest ever because there were 75 contestants instead of usual number of twenty people. The theme for games was the same for everybody and it was chosen by ballot. After the competition ends all games of the contestants will bу published in Internet where everybody will be able to vote for the game he liked. The winner will get Sony PlayStation 4.
