The Indian girl donated her heart to a 3-year old boy from Krasnoyarsk
The heart transplantation was held in one of Indian hospitals called Fortis Malar Hospital says the news portal sibnovost.ru. The donor was a 10-year old girl from neighboring state the heart was delivered to the hospital by plane. To hold such operation in Russia is impossible because child transplant is forbidden there and in order to get a new heart for their son the parents addressed to Israeli and German hospitals however either they were refused or simple didn’t have enough money. They found the most suitable option in India where such operations cost 95 thousand dollars. One of the Krasnoyarsk charity funds helped the family to get the whole sum for operation. At the moment the boy is on artificial lung ventilation and the specialists say that the heart is functioning very well.
