Omsk figure skater became a champion

Polina Tsurskaya has won a gold medal on Junior Olympics. Our figure skater after the short programme was on fourth place however performing in free programme she got herself a champion title with total score of 186,04 points. "These games taught me to keep concentration during the whole way. Now I will get ready for Junior Championship in Hungary there I will try to show that I have learnt my lesson", says Polina. The second place went to another Russian figure skater Maria Sotskova and the third place went to figure skater from Kazakhstan. In total team rating Russian national team is on the fourth place with three gold, five silver and six bronze medals. The leader in this rating is South Korea then goes USA and Germany.

Europeans got interested in Siberian cities

The demand for trips to Russia has increased among Europeans by 30%. The journalists have analysed booking services like Mamondo and Skyscanner and concluded that foreigners are interested in Siberian cities much like they are interested in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. The reason of such popularity is devaluation of ruble because of this tours became cheaper. More attention foreigners pay to Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk.

French journalists will tell the whole truth about Omsk

The editorial of French newspaper Le Courtier de Russie which is published for European readers has finished its work in Omsk where they collect information for special edition devoted to our city. Today in international press-center of MKR-Media the journalists told what exactly going to be in this edition. The first and most obvious thing which French journalists noticed was unfinished underground. "You may go down to underground station like in other cities but find nothing so it is the most expensive underground pedestrian ever. But it is very interesting because you Omsk citizens always make jokes on that the project is very big and costs a lot of money but despite that nothing has changed. You have two options either cry or laugh about it you chose the second and it's wiser so that's why we want to talk about you", says the editor. The special edition will have a big interview with the artist Damir Midst of plus there will be articles about underground and our hockey team Avangard and about ATM Electronics which sells guitar amplifiers. The newspaper will be published on February 26.

The work of Novosibirsk photographer was evaluated on international contest

The picture of Anton Unitsyn received the evaluation from the jury of Picture of the year International. One of the most prestigious contest was held in USA for 73rd time. In all Novosibirsk photographer has sent eight pictures but only one was estimated by the jury. "It doesn't matter that my picture hasn't won the first prize the fact that it was estimated as Award of Excellence means a lot to me", says Anton.
