Siberia is the host of youth contest named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky 

Today at the State Concert hall named after Arnold Kaz in Novosibirsk was held the official opening of International youth contest named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky which for the first time is held in Siberia. This contest is for young talented musicians under 17 years old which consists of three disciplines pianoforte, violin and cello. The laureates from previous years took part in the official opening today like People's artist of Russia, famous pianist Vladimir Ovchinnikov, People's Artist of the USSR, outstanding violinist Victor Tretiakov and also jury members – cello player Kirill Rodin (Russia), violinist Olivier Charlier (France) and pianist Mats Wildlund (Sweden). Despite the tough Siberian climate this year counts the record number of the participants – 130 people from 23 countries. Unfortunately none of the participants have time to walk around the city and look at famous places and there is also no time for interviews. From the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the Concert hall rehearsing and getting ready for the contest. The organization of the contest became possible thanks to three organizations – Laureates Association of the contest named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky, International Corporation of Development and Culture Ministry of Novosibirsk oblast. The winners will receive not only audience attention but also cash bonus. The owners of Grand Prix and first place will get the award in amount of five thousand dollars and the statuette which according to organizers will be a sort of Oscar and it will show the high level of professionalism.

Another world record from Siberian man

During twelve hours Nikolay Kaklimov managed to do almost five thousands pull-ups and if you are wondering this athlete is 54 years old and he set new record last Saturday on December 5th. According to the press service of Krasnoyarsk physical education department the one person marathon began at 13:30 pm and ended at 01:30 am so during these twelve hours a 54-year old man pulled up 4989 times overrunning the previous record of Czech Jan Kares who last spring pulled up 4654 times in twelve hours. “Nikolay Kaklimov got to Krasnoyarsk Book of Records many times and also to Russian Book of Records. His last achievement dated August 8, 2015 back then Nikolay pulled up 494 times in 30 minutes and this was devoted to Day of recreational athlete”, says the press service of Krasnoyarsk physical education department.

He hairdresser Denis Yushin got quite an unusual experience when he was on the Philippines. For those who don’t remember Siberian man has the aim to make a world tour in six years so he set off for his journey on May 29th and has already visited Baikal Lake, mountains of Far East, Mongolia, China, South Korea and the Philippines. While Denis was the guest of an island land he received very interesting offer one of the dive masters Vasily Kalashnikov asked the hairdresser to get his hair cut but at the bottom of the sea. “So we got to the cay and we had all the necessary equipment with us like camera, flashlight, chair and others. It was very hard to work under the water because the stream constantly kept carrying away the camera and the chair bobbed up so we had to put some rocks on it. The haircut took one hour and the half of that time was spent for preparing the work place”, says the hairdresser Denis Yushin.
