Russian gymnasts won their second gold medals on European Games in Baku
Sofia Skomoroh and five other gymnasts as a team were leaders in one of all-around event. The previous day girls won the exercise with ribbons by scoring 18 points and they outran two teams from Ukraine and Israel. Thus our gymnasts became twice champions of First European Games and earlier they won a gold medal in all-round competition. The results could have been better but girls didn’t manage to perform the exercise with Indian clubs well and took only the sixth place.

Marina Chernova and her partner Georgiy Pataraya were unquestionable leaders in acrobatic tournament of mixed-duo. Their first gold medal the duet won on June 19 back then our sportsmen with the result of 89,310 points became leaders in all-round. And the previous day our sportsmen again won a gold medal this time they were leaders in twisting exercise with 29,300 points and outran Belgium and British duets. A little bit later Marina and Georgiy again climb to the top position this time with the best performance in balance exercise 29,760 points. He second place went to duet from Belgium and the third one to British duet.

Citizens of Novosibirsk are terrified by midges
This problem people of Novosibirsk will have up until end of July and it is not the first time people have come across this issue it happens every summer. However for the last few years the number of midges is constantly growing. A few days ago people from Nizhnaya Krohalevka village complained about these midges and they don’t go outside without reason because they are afraid that they will be bitten by midges and the results of it won’t be good. And the most interesting is that these midges bite not only people but also do harm to barn animals so people have to keep animals inside the houses. According to the specialists it is only the beginning the life cycle of females (they live on blood and males are vegetarians) is three weeks so people in Novosibirsk have to deal with this problem until the end of July. But in August the midges will again appear but the number will be much less than right now. It is also worth mentioning that the midges not only do harm but bring good the thing is that they have modified jaws with the help of which they pass through water thereby filtrating it and decreasing its roiliness.
