Nilotic alligators celebrate their two-year living in Omsk

Nilotic alligators celebrate their two-year living in Omsk Totosha and Kokosha not only attract visitors but also serve as an object for study for young biologists. Today on June 10 the exhibition of the underwater world called Nautilus is celebrating its 22nd birthday and two years ago the alligators Totosha and Kokosha were brought to Omsk in order to supplement the exhibition though it already has a lot of other water residents like fish, turtles etc. Now the alligators are real stars of the exhibition many people come to see two brothers and biologists are also interested in them scientifically. "We feed them twice a week and every time is like a show because the alligators are quite young so that's why they show their character and fight with each other. After such fight we found a tooth on Totosha's face and most likely the tooth belonged to Kokosha" - says the laboratory assistant Nicolay Melnikov. The exhibition works every day from 10 to 6 o'clock except Monday. The biggest part of exhibits are rare fish, residents of Omsk ponds and even abandoned turtles and aquarium fish.
