Omsk athlete will battle against Gregor Clegane from Game of Thrones 

Mikhail Shivlyakov will go to England to take part in one of the most prestigious tournament World’s Ultimate Strongest Team. One of the oppenent of Mikhail Shivlyakov will be Hafþór Björnsson who played a part of Gregor Clegane in TV serial Game of Thrones. Eight contries will participate in the tornament and from each contry it is going to be a duet. Mikhail Shivlyakov and Dimitar Savatinov will represent Russia on this tournament. The tournament's programme consists of six disciplines like speed race with iron shoulder-yoke which weighs 430 kilogrames, deadlift started from 500 kilogrames, lifting of car, pul-push, lifting of stones (80,90,100,110,120,130 kilogrames and time is limited to 90 seconds), the discipline called five stones (115,125,145,165,185 limited time 90 seconds) all the disciplines will be performed in duet. There will be a bonus for the contestants the try of setting a world record in carrying 220-kilograme stone for a distance of 79 meters. The main contenders for winning are contestants from Viking team Matjaz Belska from Slovenia and Hafþór Björnsson from Iceland who is famous by his role of Gregor Clegane in Game of Thrones. The tournament World’s Ultimate Strongest Team will be held in Doncaster, England.

Omsk immigrants are good students

Most foreign citizens come to Omsk from Kazakhstan and think that Russian is their native language. Today on May 28 in international press-centre of MKR-Media was held a briefing devoted to the results of assembled examination for foreign citizens. If a foreign citizen wants to work in Russia or to get a residence permit he or she needs to prove their knowledge of Russian language, history and the legislation of Russian Federation by passing the assembled examination in certain educational institution. In Omsk there are eight such educational institutions Omsk State Polytechnical University, Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky, Omsk State Service University, non-State educational institution Leader and others.According to UFMS department 4 224 foreign citizens passed the exam in Omsk oblast and 3 869 were successful. The specialists explained the high percentage of good results that most of people are citizens from Kazakhstan who write that their native language is Russian and also citizens from Georgia, Estonia, Moldova who finished Russian-speaking schools. The citizens from Uzbekistan, Tadjikistan and Armenia have more problems with this because their native languages differ from Russian phonetically a lot.
