Omsk strong man will fight for the title of the strongest man in the world
Michael Shevlyakov is the third strong man from Russia who managed to enter the final of The World's Strongest Man - 2015. In qualifying round there were two our strong men Michael Shevlyakov and the other one Aleksandr Lysenko from Vladimir so both of them were in very competitive sub-groups for example Michael Shevlyakov had to compete with famous strong man Žydrūnas Savickas and luckily Michael managed to enter the final of WSM but Aleksandr Lysenko failed to do this. The tournament program in Malaysia lasted for four days and included five different weight-lifting exercises. Of course stress and hot weather influenced the sportsmen an American strong man Josh Thigpen fainted during the competition and Mateusz Baron and
Benedikt Magnússon dropped out of the competition because of injuries. But our sportsman didn’t get any injuries and showed good results in all five exercises which allows him to go further in the competition. The final of WSM-2015 will be on April 25-26 in Putrajaya and 10 strong men will take part in it.

Omsk will get the status of labour glory city
Today on 23rd of April on court has been passed the project of the regional law about giving Omsk the title of the special status. Sergey Kalinin who is the Chairman of the Committee on legislation said that Omsk should definitely get this status because during the Great War Omsk hosted most of defense enterprises. Today the bill on federal level was passed only in first reading so Omsk authorities decided not to wait until their Moscow colleagues will pass the law and made the decision themselves and passed their own law which gives this special title to Omsk.
