Omsk sportsman got a right to participate in the world swimming Championship
Grigoriy Tarasevich made a cut to Russian national team he took part in national swimming championship which is in Moscow. Grigoriy Tarasevich took part on 100-meter race (on back) and won a silver medal with time 53,84 seconds. The first one to come was Evgeny Rylov the sportsman from Moscow oblast and the third one was Nikita Ulianov. The result which our sportsman got allows him to be in Russian national team and take part in world championship which will be in summer in Kazan.

Clean the city with imagination!
Soon there will be time for city cleaning and this event called subbotnik and this year besides the usual cleaning and planting trees everyone can create an art object and take part in building children's playground. On Saturday there will be the main subbotnik in Omsk and people will not only clean the territories but they also may use their imagination to create some art objects and they can demonstrate it on the territory of the former Omsk plant Agregatniy. From 10 a.m. the guests of the event can demonstrate their talents by painting walls and fences and also making nestling boxes, benches and flower-beds. The organizers of subbotnik are hoping that some of famous Omsk figures will visit the event.

On the 70th anniversary of Great War there will be a new memorial of eternal flame
A new memorial will be opened in one of Omsk districts called Leviy Bereg in a week there will be first testing of starting up the gas. This idea to install the second memorial of eternal flame belongs to the regional council of veterans. Now there are final preparations of the memorial and it will be in one of Omsk parks right in front of the statue of Hero – Soldier. The memorial is made from grey, black and beige granite. The construction works will finish at the end of April and after that there will be testing of starting up the gas for the eternal flame. The official opening will be on May 8 the day before the 70th anniversary of Great War.
