Omsk citizen will play an intellectual card game
This weekend on March 21 and 22 Omsk will host bridge championship there will be participants from Omsk, Kalachinsk, Isilkul, Novosibirsk, Astana and Kustanay. The championship will be in pairs and there will be plaid more than 66 deals during 3 or 4 sessions. The winners will get the champion title of Omsk oblast and those who will win the first three places will get the certificates. By the way, the bridge is the only card game which was declared as a type of sport by International Olympic Committee.

The year of literature in Russia is offically on
Today on March 20 there was an official openning of year of literature in Omsk. famous Omsk actors read the extracts from the books of famous russian classic like A.S. Pushkin, L.N. Tolstoy, Sergey Esenin and others. Also Omsk Philharmonic Orchestra, the singers from omsk musical theatre and dance troupes of Omsk city took part in the event. The governor of Omsk oblast Victor Nazarov told that it is very important to read books during the new technology era and that one will respect himself if he respects his language and his nation. There cannot be any intellectual development of a person without books and Victor Nazarov is sure that the year of literature will be very successful and that there will be many interesting and creative events. Vladimir Shamanov who is the head of airborne forces of Russian Federation and the hero of Russian Federation visited this event as a special guest.
