Omsk citizens will test time mirror and wind tunnel
Today on March 19 there will be an openning of updated exhibition in Vrubel museum called Experimentariy. Now there will be over one hundred interactive devices devoted tonatural sciences and natural phenomenon. The visitors will be able to test such devices as the optical instrument with the help of which it was possible to measure the distance from the Earth to the moon, the time mirror where you will be able to see yourself three seconds before, the wind tunnel which can lift up small objects and finally the Tug of war installation where weak can win over strong person and many other interesting devices. Also the visitors can come and listen lectures like fascinating physics, chemistry laboratory, entertaining astronomy and the science of Ancient Greece.

The Minister of Education will conduct the total dictation in Omsk
In a month on April 18 there will be a total dictation all around the world and the idea was born in Novosibirsk 10 years ago. The text for this year dictation was written by an author and literary critic Evgeniy Vodolazkin. The head of Omsk regional Ministry of education Sergey Kannunikov will conduct the total dictation in Omsk this year. For Omsk this is already the fourth total dictation and every year the number of participants is growing. Last year almost two thousand of Omsk citizens wrote the dictation and nine of them were prisoners. Back then the total dictation took place in Omsk State University and the Omsk mayor was the one who conducted the event but this year the head of Omsk regional Ministry of education will take his place. Moreover the Omsk Ministry of education wants regoinal districts to take part in this event and can organise the places where people can write it. To participate in total dictation you need to register on the website devoted to the total dictation and it is also possible to write it online. Omsk State University is providing free courses to prepare people for the dictation.
