Omsk will have a contest for the best paited piano
The organizer of this contest is Omsk philharmonia they decided to make a project called Piano Art Challenge because soon they will celebrate their jubilee. So Piano Art Challenge is a public art event which is devoted to 75th anniversary of Omsk philharmonia. The main participants in this project may be big trading companies and also cultural establishment and Mass media. The idea of the project is to use the imagination and paint piano which Omsk philharmonia will give to all participants. Pictures with all works later will be published in social network Vkontakte where common people will vote and choose the best one. At the beginning of May all the pianos will be placed in square in front of Concert Hall and on May 15 right before big show the organizers will award the winners of this project. Omsk citizens collected over 40 tons of Humanitarian aid for Donetsk
The volunteer union has collected 40 tons of humanitarian aid for people in Donetsk People's Republic mostly there are living essentials like foodstuff, medical supplies and clothes. For three weeks people brought so many stuff that it was impossible to move among all those bags. The most surprising thing was that foodstuff is the biggest part of this humanitarian aid cargo it is almost three-quarter of the whole cargo. Also volunteers managed to collect lots of medical supplies. Many Omsk citizens wanted to support people from Donetsk that after one week the organizers just stopped to write down the names of people who wanted to donate things. Many businessmen and pharmaceutical companies also made their own contribution. The most part of the cargo will be transfered to Donetsk hostel. However some people who came to the help receiving center were worried about their relatives.

The grandson of the famous author Jaroslav Hašek thanked Omsk TV reporters for the film about his great grandfather
The grandson of the famous author Jaroslav Hašek Rihard Hašek sent a letter to Omsk editorial office in order to say thanks for making a film about this great man and about the character from main antiwar novel. The film called The Adventure of the soldier Švejk and author Hašek and devoted to 130th anniversary of the author and 100th anniversary since World War I. The filmong took place in the cities of the Czech Republic, Ukrain and Russia. The grandson of the famous author told that he was surprised how the filmakers managed to cover such hard topic. The author of the film Ekaterina Didenko told that she got the idea for the film from several biographical facts of Jaroslav Hašek which are connected with Omsk. Jaroslav Hašek spent just a little bit more than one month and created the theatre for army prisoners. Jaroslav Hašek was about to be executed in Omsk because before he came here there was issued the arrest warrant but he came to Omsk together with Fifth Red Army and luckily he avoided the execution.
