Today Omsk citizens payed the tribute to the memory of people who died in Siege of Leningrad

Today on January 27 in city centre near the monument which was made in honour of children from besieged Leningrad was held the wreath-laying ceremony. Many people took part in this event among them were veterans, public authorities, deputies and common people all of them honoured the memory of deceased by moment of silence. In museum of Kirovskiy admonistrative district was opened an exhibition devoted to people's life in besieged Leningrad there you may find many rarities like books and articles about the city at that time, military maps and also poems and personal documents. Back at those times Omsk was one of the biggest evacuation centers and also in Omsk was formed 364 rifle division which help to free Leningrad from fascists. Today almost 250 people from besieged Leningrad live in Omsk oblast and 60 veterans who helped to set free those people.

Three Avangard players will take part in first Eurotour lap

Four goalkeepers and 24 skaters are in the list of those hockeyplayers who will come to Novogorsk to train for Eurotour matches. Three players will represent our hockey team Avangard they are two forwards Aleksandr Popov and Ivan Fischenko and defenceman Nikita Pivzakin. Both matches will be on Febtuary 5 and 7 in czech cities Prague and Karlovy Vary.
