Two girls from Omsk gave a treat to Indian minister with thick pancakes

Two Omsk girls represented Russia on winter festival devoted to youth culture in one of Indian cities called Guwahati. Svetlana Zakharova and Tatiyana Popova introduced the Siberian traditions to other nations and also performed folk dances, taught Indians different games and chastooshkas which are four-line racy folk rhymes and also the girls showed to local children how to make amulet dolls and snowmen. Last day Svetlana and Tatiyana made thick pancakes and treated all guests with it and they told that the Indian minister made a visit to the festival and tried the Russian thick pancakes.

Omsk biathlonist will take part in fifth lap of the World Cup in Ruhpolding

The coaching staff of Russian team approved biathlonist Yana Romonova to participate in relay race. Yana missed the previous lap of the World Cup which took place in Oberhof, Germany because of the health problems. In Ruhpolding the biathlonist will open the race (4 to 6 kilometres with 8 shootings). The second fraction of distance will be for another biathlonist Daria Virolainen then Ekaterina Shumilova will join the race and Ekaterina Glazylina will be the one to finish the race. The race will start today on January 14 at 19:30 Omsk time. Tomorrow there will be men's relay race and on January 16 and 17 will be sprints 7,5 kilometres for women and 10 kilometres for men. The fifth lap of the World Cup will end with two mass starts 12,5 and 15 kilometres.
