Omsk winter beats all records

Yesterday on December 25 the weather forecasters recorded the highest temperature of that day. Previous case of such high temperature was recorded almost 70 years ago. Abnormally warm weather in winter is explained that on Omsk territory prevails the Atlantic front. The average temperature in December is exceeding the climatic norm almost for 14 degrees. The day before stem of thermometer was up to 34.52 °F. And this temperature beat the previous record of 1945 when thermometer showed 35.06 °F.

Omsk citizen got famous thanks to pictures of polar bears

The pictures and the story how they were made were published in one of the British newspapers. The day before on website of Daily Mail was published an article with the title Polar bears also have family ties. The pictures showed two polar bears a brother and a sister playing in the snow and they were hugging each other. In this article it was said that the pictures were made by Omsk photographer Aleksey Tischenko who visited Churchill, Canada and took the pictures. Aleksey told that the wild nature is really amazing and extremely interesting and it evokes different positive emotions. And Aleksey also hopes that his pictures will be appreciated and that every person will find something in these pictures just for themselves.

Omsk citizens want to look like convicts

In Bolsheukovskiy district from village Forpost to village Stanovka a new horse riding tour has been opened and this tour repeats the way which was used to send convicts, wives of Decembrist, scientists and writers such as Aleksandr Radizhev and Nicolay Chernyshevskiy to an exile. The local people working on this horse ridding tour and it doesn’t cost a lot of money and even make this tour authentic some of local people grow a beard like convicts used to have.
